Tibial Fixation Properties of a Continuous-Loop ACL Hamstring Graft Construct with Suspensory Fixation in Porcine Bone
Patrick A. Smith, MD; Thomas M. DeBarardino, MD
Smith et al compared Arthrex® TightRope Attachable Button System (ABS) fixation of the GraftLink ACL construct to standard interference screw (IF) fixation.1 The TightRope/GraftLink construct outperformed IF screw fixation in both yield and ultimate load and was statistically equivalent in cyclic displacement. The GraftLink technique not only increases tibial fixation strength but allows for greater graft diameter, eliminates foreign bodies in the tibial and femoral socket, allows continued graft tensioning after fixation is complete and facilitates an all-inside technique.
