Leadership Collier Visits Arthrex for Commerce Day
Arthrex was pleased to welcome this year's Leadership Collier class to its global headquarters in Naples recently as host of the program’s annual Commerce Day, which gave participants a unique glimpse into the current business landscape and drivers of economic development in Collier County.
President and Founder Reinhold Schmieding presented to the group of 50 local leaders about Arthrex’s history and its impact in the community as a global company.
Corporate Communications Manager Lisa Gardiner, a 2017 Leadership Collier graduate, served as one of the Commerce Day chairs, helping to organize the visit, which included a tour and a hands-on activity in the Arthrex Research Lab. Each year, one Arthrex employee joins the Leadership Collier class and takes part in the program’s 10 sessions to fully immerse its participants in facets of local government, health care, human services, education, economic development, arts and media.
Arthrex’s current Leadership Collier participant, Executive Chef William Blum, said about the event, “The class could not stop talking about how impressed they were with Arthrex. For me, the whole experience was enlightening. I am almost always behind the scenes, supporting groups, events and employees. Attending Leadership Collier’s Commerce Day at Arthrex allowed me to experience our company from a different perspective, as an attendee, and it was FANTASTIC! Every phase of the day was exceptional. The planners, servers, speakers (especially Reinhold), the tour and the interactions we had with various employees, exceeded all of our expectations.”
