Arthrex Hosts Commerce Day for Our Area’s Emerging Leaders

GAIN

Arthrex welcomed this year's Growing Associates in Naples (GAIN) class to the Inc. Medical Education Center as part of the program's Commerce Day session earlier this month. President and Founder Reinhold Schmieding presented to the group of local young professionals about Arthrex's history and its impact in the community, followed by tours of the Research & Development lab, Studio 360 and the Rapid Prototyping Facility and new cinema.

GAIN is part of The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce’s family of leadership programs specifically designed for emerging leaders and young professionals. Participants learn about the local government, health care, human services, arts, business, law enforcement, tourism, education and other local industries through the nine-week program.

Arthrex has two employees taking part in the current GAIN session, Organizational Change Management and Training Specialist Tatiana Medina and Supervisor of Financial Analysis Javier Paez.

As a newer to Naples resident, Tatiana said GAIN has provided her with a unique way to connect with and learn about the community.

GAINGroupJavier agreed, “Even though I am a Naples native, and felt as though I was moderately familiar with the structure and function of the local government and the community, participating in the program has truly educated me on all of the business and governmental institutions that make Naples and Collier County the wonderful place that it is.”

Many attendees commented that the Commerce Day at Arthrex was the best part of their GAIN experience.

“Everyone was very impressed with Arthrex and all the great things we are doing here,” said Tatiana.

Javier said, “During the session I heard a lot of ‘wows’ or ‘I had no idea Arthrex did that.’ I think it was great for my classmates to see firsthand what it is that we do. For this reason, it’s important for Arthrex to continue to support GAIN and the Leadership Collier Foundation and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
